This month I had the pleasure of taking photos at Melissa and James’s wedding in
Perth. As this was a family wedding I wasn’t the primary photographer so I had the opportunity to enjoy the day as a guest, but I couldn’t resist taking photos too!
I focused on the parts of the day their official photographer was unable to capture – after all, no one can be in two places at once (this is where a second shooter’s role really becomes clear!)

One thing that struck me about shooting in Australia was the quality and consistency of the light, which made getting the correct exposure much simpler part, back in the UK I am always prepared to make speedy adjustments to compensate for the sun suddenly vanishing! Here are some of my favourite shots from the day;

The day took place at St.Joseph’s Church in Subiaco and the reception at riverside restaurant Acqua Viva.
